So -- yesterday my husband and I ran the Seattle Rock n' Roll Half Marathon. I had been sick all week with a bad head cold and was hoping and praying I'd feel decent race morning. I felt alright, but not 100%. I hacked and coughed along the course and even had to stop once at a port-a-potty just to blow my nose really well.
My average pace ended up being 8:28 per mile with a final time of 1:50.51
It is not my Personal best, but I have no complaints since I did it on a day I wasn't feeling completely healthy.
Today I am having trouble going up and down stairs... can't wait to not be sore....

WOW!! That is a GREAT time! I'm so glad you posted this cause you know I've been dieing to know! Seriously... 8:28 for 13 miles? That blows me away... that is a better pace than my fastest 5k! I will be stoked to finish under 2:10! But anything under 2:30 is fantastic!
wow, I just think that's awesome! I get tired just thinking about a 1/2 marathon. Good job!
I'm glad you posted about the 1/2 marathon! And I'm really impressed that you ran it even feeling under the weather. You should feel very proud of yourself. :)
Excellent! You are an inspiration for where I want to be by this time next year! Nice job! Man...my "speed" work right now is 6 mph on the treadmill and it kicks my tail after .25 miles...LOL....but, each time I get on there I get a bit faster and go a bit further. :)
I also love your post about taking the kids with you when you do your speed work. Nice way to incorporate family with your fitness regime...love it!
